It took me a while but I finally figured out how to set up my Storenvy account.  It's pretty cool since it has a Facebook app that installs your wares into your Facebook page. :XD:  celcia.storenvy.com  Right now I'm selling mostly mermaid accessories and some of my old costumes (such as my Kairi one) but I plan on putting other things in there in the future such as wigs and new cosplay accessories.  Unlike Etsy, I don't have to pay any seller's fees so I may switch over if this place finally picks up.

In cosplay related news, I'm gathering a ton of applique for a Queen Serenity (Sailor Moon) cosplay.  I'm waiting on everything to arrive at the warehouse of my shopping service so I probably won't be able to start that until next month... blergh.  It is a lot of applique though... about 100 pieces but I don't think I'll be able to use them all. :XD:  Until then, I'll be working on a Weiss Schnee (RWBY web series) cosplay since I have all the fabric from leftover and abandoned cosplay projects.  That costume is more or less an excuse to utilize my embroidery machine (which I haven't gotten much use out of since buying it a year ago) and to try making my own lace.  That... and I just wanna give some of that fabric laying around a purpose.  It'll be fun burning the designs into the bolero though.

Follow me on Facebook! www.facebook.com/celciaflames  I update that place a lot more often than I do here.

Because the once relevant cosplay.com has become a cespool for stupidity, people pretending to be mods, people not reading, and never ending supply of facepalms, I'll be adding all of my cosplay related work here and my Facebook page www.facebook.com/CelciaFlames instead (which is what I should have been doing).  I've been feeling this way for over a year about that place.  Have you seen the state of the forums over there?  Sheesh.  Talk about babby's first cosuprey site...

I'm working on my Serah Farron cosplay!  So far I'm almost finished painting the boots, ordered the official necklace and earrings (came last summer), and ordered some custom printed fabric for the skirt.  Right now I'm still working on the bracelet and the hair tie, which I'm awaiting for more crystals to arrive in the mail.  Other than needing some crystals, I've got everything to create this.  Originally, I wasn't really intending on putting this costume onto my list for 2013 but after seeing how good I looked in my friend's Serah cosplay, I went "Oh, what the hell."  Funny enough, Lightning was my first choice of character since she's my favorite.  The game is pretty... bland for a Final Fantasy game, but I do like the characters (...'cept for Hope).  I've had the game since launch and still haven't finished it thanks to that horribly thought out battle system.  ANYWAY, enough of my video game rant.

Since I won't be taking anymore commissions for quite some time now, I finally have a great deal of free time to work on personal projects for this year (Serah, Blaze, and White).  I don't plan on adding anymore characters other than those three since... well... I recently cleaned up my sewing room/office and found out that I have more scraps than I'd like.  So many scraps from finished cosplays... like enough to make full, new costumes. :dead:

Oh and.  I may be selling my Kairi cosplay in the future so I'll probably make another update about that once I've finished Serah. :)

I've been busy working on things for other people (commission based items) so I haven't really been able to add anything new to this account.  Usually, I go to a small local con every year (since 2008) but I won't be going this year since it falls on my birthday.  I'll have some photos of what I've been working on within the next few days.

that's one convention I'm never going to again.  It was nothing but hype and disappointment.

Edit:  The convention in question is Animegacon.  A full report on it can be found here on my blog pinkmonsoon.blogspot.com/2012/…

Since I didn't go to Anime Expo this year (and thank god I didn't; that con was said to be a nightmare thanks to the X Games), my next convention will be AniMegaCon.  It's a local con and it actually looks like one I'll enjoy.  Some of my friends are coming in from out of town so I can't wait! :)  Since there's going to be a big cosplay masquerade, I'm going to try my hand at it since I already bought my badge.  From what I've heard, the competition is going to be fierce (since an awesome group from Cali is coming out) but at least I'll be able to say I entered a contest.  I'll be entering a costume that's already in my gallery (and desperately need better photos of) but will be fixing up and improving a few things.  I've gotten better at makeup for this character too which is always a plus.

Aside from that costume, I'll probably wear my Kairi costume since I bought new bracelets and I'm styling a new wig for it.  I sold my last wig off since it was kanekalon and tangled... way too much for such a short wig.  I hate cosworx.  My new wig is so much nicer although the surgery I had to do on it to give it a side part wasn't fun.  Yeah... that is why I hate wigs with teeny radial skintops.

I'm starting another diet tomorrow. -_-

It's been a while since I've written a journal entry.  How is everyone?  Sorry for not being too active here lately but not much has been going on.  I haven't had a photoshoot in... I don't know how long since there aren't any photographers in my city that are willing to take pictures of cosplayers.  Usually around this time of year, I'm at Anime Expo in Los Angeles but this year just didn't look like it was worth my time (horrible guest list, bad schedule, and not being able to find a room) so I'm not attending.  Instead, I'm going to attend AniMegaCon and hopefully get a photoshoot in of a new costume.  Until then, I will be working on items for my shop and designing original fashions.

It's been months since I've updated my journals. ^^;  I've been working on a few wigs (one I'm making a commission off of and one for myself) so I've been keeping busy.  This weekend I'm going to head off to Los Angeles with :iconedenanima: and :iconyuukacos: to do some fabric shopping in the downtown fashion district.  I'm pretty excited about it since it'll be my first time shopping there!  I'm primarily after crystals and wide rib knit for future projects.

I was also informed about the sakura gathering in the park while I'll be staying there.  Didn't even think about it but I'll bring a cosplay I've revamped and need better pictures of to have a photoshoot with :iconwhenwasthistaken: as my photographer.  I really wanna bring two costumes... but I can't make 2 advance technique wigs in less than a week!  I didn't find out about this until a few days ago, so what can you do?  Hopefully, the sakura trees will have more blooms by the time we get out there...

OH AND...

Before I forget, you can check me out on Facebook!  The page is still relatively new but I do update it more than my deviantArt account.  Follow if you wanna keep updated on my cosplay progress! www.facebook.com/pages/Celcia/…

Hey everyone!  Long time, no update!  There hasn't really been much to say since I haven't been able to do too many crafty things lately because this has been one hectic summer.  I'm finally back home and will be able to concentrate on my studies and do some fun stuff like work on wigs and make a few deco items.

I'm selling my Cendrillon Miku Hatsune cosplay in my Etsy store as well as selling custom sized Rinoa Heartilly duster and sleeve sets!  Both of these items can be found in my store here www.etsy.com/shop/Celcia

Edit: And... since I don't feel like making a new entry, I'm selling custom Sailor Moon wigs in my store as well www.etsy.com/listing/85512681/…

That's it for now!  Hopefully, my next update will be about progress made on my next costume (which I'm trying to find the perfect white and red ribbed cottons for).

I'm pretty bad at updating my journals on here.  :dead:  I don't really have much to update, but I'm going to be cutting back on making personal costumes over the next few months in order to make time to do wig commissions.  For the remainder of 2012, the only costumes that are really on my must-do list are Team Rocket :pokeball: and two Sheryl Nome ones  (one of which I didn't get to finish for AX).  Luka Megurine will get done, too in the coming months.

However... I can't really work on any costumes for a little bit because I have had a bad accident sometime after coming home from Los Angeles so now my left hand is very bruised to the bones.  It's slowly healing... but a little too slow.  The most I can do for the time being is a bit of wig work.  Really makes me sad because I wanted to work on my Panty costume and learn how to knit. :crying:  This injury could have been worse and thankfully I'm right handed so I can still do some work (just not sewing or pattern drafting).

I also have a FormSpring account if anyone wants to ask me a question about anything at all since I don't have a Q/A journal entry on here.  If you have anything you want to ask me about anything at all, you can do so here www.formspring.me/Celci… :)

I got back from AX on the 4th (almost 5th around midnight) and surprisingly had a great time!  The convention and events themself were very bland, but I had a ton of fun mingling, making new friends, and having a little adventure in downtown LA.  I was able to do two photoshoots with two different photographers for my Serenity and Sheryl costumes so I may have a nice little image dump here within the next few weeks whenever the photographers are done editing the images.  Sadly, I didn't get to finish my white bunny Sheryl costume in time, but I was able to wear my purple one for the shoot.  Things worked out for the better since the location we shot in was much better suited for that costume than the bunny one.  I'll be finishing that costume as soon as the weather cools down since the air conditioning in my house is dead... can't really fit that thing too comfortably if my house is 99 degrees inside!

So I wore Serenity, Sheryl, and Shiki in that order.  Haha, the big three S's!  Serenity received a lot of compliments which made me happy since I worked so hard on that thing and that wig received a lot of love.  Unfortunetly, the wig was pretty battle worn by the end of the day so when I got home, I had to give that thing a good bath, still need to detangle the tails, and have to re-curl the ends.  My dress got quite dirty during the shoot and sitting on the floor next to the Miku car so that also needs a serious wash.

Had so so so much fun during my Sheryl Nome shoot!  Made a new friend, too. :D  Day 2 of AX was definitely the most fun although by the end of the night my dogs were barkin'.  I'm in a cosplay music video too that was made by one of the photographers here at 2:40 youtu.be/RFaE19vigEk !  Can't wait to see how the final photos look from both shoots.

So... expect Serenity and Sheryl spam in about two weeks--maybe less!

Anyone going to Anime Expo or AM^2 Con this summer?  I'll be attending both for July 4th weekend.  Last summer's road trip was the most fun I've had in years and because of that, it was the best summer of my life for various other reasons.  Hopefully, this summer will be just as much fun!  This time around, I'll finally be able to make it to that beach!

I'm only making two new cosplays for this convention so I'll have more time to work on wigs that need to be done and make this other thing that I need for vacation.

So the costumes I'll be wearing for that weekend are:

-Princess Serenity; manga ver. (Sailor Moon)
-Sheryl Nome; white bunny ver (Macross Frontier)
-Sheryl Nome; purple music book dress (Macross Frontier)
-Shiki Misaki (The World Ends With You)
-Aerith Gainsborough; Crisis Core/Dissidia ver. (Final Fantasy VII)

So yeah... five costumes!  I'm wearing some solely for photoshoot reasons with friends (which won't be at the cons) and to wear after that giant white dress gets on my nerves after a few hours.  All of them only take up a little room in my luggage except for Serenity (since it has around ten yards of fabric in it) and white bunny Sheryl (that thing is fluffy!).  I should be fine... I think.  I don't have many good photos of these costumes and I've worked very hard on them ('cept the purple Sheryl dress, I didn't make that)!  My friend in Cali is going to do a photoshoot for me, so I figured I'd might as well bring outfits I need pictures in.

And now, I'm going back to working on wigs that need to be finished and once that's done, I'll work on my own stuff... finally.
Hey, guys!  I've recently created a new craft blog if anyone's interested in learning some new tips and tricks.  I don't really go into detail how I make my stuff on here (since that'd take up too much space), so if you're interested in learning how to sew, work with patterns, style wigs, floral craft (to an extent), jewelry making, and more artsy stuff, follow me on Blogspot!  My new blog can be found here pinkmonsoon.blogspot.com

Of course, I'll still post my work here, but on my blog is where I'll go more into detail and post tutorials.  Be sure to follow and comment! :)

Edit: (because I don't want to create a new entry)
And I jumped on the bandwagon and created a Formspring account.  So if you're really bored for whatever reason, you can ask me a question here www.formspring.me/Celcia :XD:

So I was informed about there being a new Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailer out and GOD MY OH!!!!  I am so friggin' happy that I don't cosplay from games that are still in development!  For the past year or so, I've been planning on cosplaying Stella Nox Fleuret once I've played the game, right?  And now... they've changed her hair color from light blonde to a pretty golden brown so click and say hello to Aerith's long lost twin www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-Cs4H… :XD:

I'm so bloomy happy because this will be a lot easier for me pull off thanks to her new hair color.  I think she looks prettier this way, personally.  They've also changed Noctis' outfit for what, the third or fourth time now?  Either way, it'll be easier for me to make his outfit, too when the time comes (and no, not for myself to wear).  Oh, Stella... you look so much like Aerith I love you. I hope everyone has a great 2011!  I've made one of the most common New Year's resolutions and hope I stick to it this time. >_<  The other one... ahahaaa... probably not going to happen. XD

I've managed to sell my old Yuna and Sheryl costume, yay, more room for new costumes.  Speaking of which, I've changed my cosplay list again.  I will stick to it this time. Lol

Rinoa Heartilly (SeeD ball)
Princess Serenity (manga ver.)
Sheryl Nome (Diamond Crevasse; movie ver.)
Sheryl Nome (White Bunny)
Sheryl Nome (purple songstress dress)

I'm making all of them but the last one, that one is being gifted to me.  I've had the materials laying around for Diamond Crevasse for a while... only thing I need is some fabric for the long blue duster and a new silver wig.  Rinoa is easy so I'm going to make that after I make my Serenity cape.  I've done Serenity once... shouldn't take me more than a month since it took that long the first time I made it (but I really should put that one up for sale).

But still man... my Luka cosplay still needs work.  All that really needs to be worked on are the arm warmer and the brooch. x___x  The state of the Vocaloid fandom... just makes me put it off... -__-  I'm going to put my Pokemon gijinka on hold for a bit since I've decided to use those materials for Diamond Crevasse.

And if anyone is interested, I'm doing wig commissions now.  There's examples of my work in my gallery.  I'll be doing a C.C wig for a friend in a few weeks, so look out for pictures. :)  Time to stub and make a bun... again. XD

It was a one day event, but it was still fun. :3  Next one is three days so I'll have even more things to do then.  The masquerade was very last minute so everything for that department was absolute uncontrolled chaos. x_x;;  But next time, next time, NEXT TIME things will run much smoother because we're going to do a large revamp of that department.  The next one isn't until May, but I'm already planning for it.

I didn't have the time or funds to complete white bunny Sheryl, so I wore my KH2 Kairi outfit and I'm really glad I did because... COSPLAY CHESS!!!  I've never participated in cosplay chess before, but oh man it was SO MUCH FUN.  I didn't even know we were doing it until it was time for sign-ups.  There were a lot of cosplayers from Birth By Sleep and as we were signing up, :iconrenokev02: said, "Dude... PUT US ALL ON THE SAME TEAM!!!" and so on the Black team, we were team Kingdom Hearts which included me (KH2 Kairi), Kairi (Queen ver.), Terra, Ven, Aqua, and Master Erauqs.  And because of that... it was super awesome. XD  I can't wait to do that again.  If I can find a video of it on Youtube, I'll be sure to post it.  (Speaking of which, I need to find pictures of myself that were taken at the con)

So yeah. XD  Next May, the masquerade department will be revamped and I'm going to get a table to sell my wares.  Lookin' forward to it!

My next con is coming up in about twenty-two days... but I don't have anything new finished. >w<  Originally, I was planning on debuting Princess Serenity, but it'll be too cold (and my silk chiffon hasn't arrived yet) so I'm going to wear white bunny Sheryl.  Thing is... I recently caught this horrific bug and now I'm sick as all Hell.  I'm praying I get better at least a week ahead of time so I'll feel well enough to make the costume, but oh man... when I get sick, it can last up to three months at a time and have been this way for as long as I can remember.  Heart, stomach, and upper respiratory problems are so horrible... FML

Until then, I'll be making wefted extensions for my white Serenity wig since it'll give me something to do since it doesn't involve as much work as sewing an entire costume.  About a month ago, I bought a pre-made Princess Serenity wig but oh man, that turned out to be a gigantic disaster so I ended up selling it.  I'm never buying a pre-made wig ever again, especially from Ayanamisatoru since they're made for super small heads, they are some of the roughest heat-resistant fibers I've ever experienced, they tangle like nothing I've ever seen before, and the buns on my particular wig were so big and close to the ears they were like ear muffs.  Did I mention that it was incredibly heavy because it wasn't stubbed?  So after that, if I ever want something done right I should just do it myself instead of taking a short-cut. :dead:  Now I'll be making my own wig and thankfully, found the perfect base for it.

Man... being sick sucks... so does having medical conditions that make you hold onto the bug.
